What is TPG and why is my deposit from them and why is it $651.00 short

TPG is the Santa Barbara bank that is used to issue refunds if you chose to pay TurboTax from your refund.  The deposit is from them because the IRS advised them of the refund that they have calculated based on the information you have submitted minus payment to TurboTax.

Have you subtracted the amount that you paid to TurboTax?  If the amount is still incorrect you will need to contact the IRS because they process refunds.  They do not notify TurboTax of any adjustments to returns because Privacy laws prohibit that sharing of information.

IRS will issue you a Notice of Adjustments in a few weeks and allow you to respond if you feel the adjustment was incorrect.  TurboTax can not assist with that issue.
