What state tax i d # would i use for unemployment compensation payments if the only number listed is federal?

my uc-1099g form has federal i d # but return asks for state # as well, in particular boxes.  my form doesn't have boxes with letter or numbers, just specific answers for federal.

Follow these steps instead:

  1. Open or continue your tax return.
  2. Search for 1099-G and select the Jump to link at the top of the search results.
  3. On the Did you receive unemployment or paid family leave benefits in 2020? screen, answer Yes.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter your 1099-G information.
