Question

What TurboTax shows as my total estimated tax payments for the year doesn't match the payments that I've entered. How can that be?

Other than the estimated tax payments that I made, the only other tax "withholding" was from a 1099-R. Even adding those all together, it's still much less than what TurboTax shows as my "estimated tax payments" on the tax breaks page. I don't see how that works?

Look at your Form 1040.  On Line 26 should be the amount of estimated taxes you paid and reported in the section for entering Estimated Taxes.  On Line 25b should be the amount of federal taxes withheld from all of your Form 1099's.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.
