Question

When I did my taxes TurboTax told me I was eligible for the 2800 stimulus because I had a baby in 2021. But it wasn't included in my refund amount. So am I getting it?

Make sure you have entered your child as a dependent in My Info, and that you have entered the child's Social Security number. If your child was born in 2021make sure you said he lived with you the whole year.  There is an oddly worded question that asks if the child paid over half their own support.  Say NO to that question.

The stimulus amount will be found on line 30 of your Form 1040.   The child tax credit will be on line 28.

    • View only your 1040 form: Select Tools. Next, select View Tax Summary in the pop-up, then Preview my 1040 in the left menu.
