Question

When I download my return it shows that I owe money. This is new. Turbo tax says I have a refune

My 2020 tax return was mailed but the IRS has no record of receiving it.  I was told not to send another return because that would make it worse and it is not unusual that a mailed return has not been recorded.  What should I do?

Millions of mailed returns are still waiting to be opened.  All you can do is wait for the IRS to open yours.

Mailed in returns are taking 6 months or longer to process ... hang in there.
