Question

When I enter the box d control number exactly a printed on w-2 it will not accept the in information?

when prompted to enter information in box d of W-2 form exactly, and wages in box 1, press continue and it refers back to box d as if inaccurate information was entered?

If you are trying to import your W2, try leaving off the control number.  Or you may need to enter your W2 manually.

 

Enter your W2:

  1. Open your return.
  2. Enter W2 in Search box (?).
  3. Click on jump to W2 link.

Or Click on Federal tab > Wages & Income > Job (W2), Add/Edit to the right.
