Question

When I review my order it shows a total of $29.99 but then when I go to the Payment Options page it says $39.99. Why is this?

The reason you are seeing the different amount is that you initially chose the Premium option to have the $29.99 deducted from your return instead of paying with a credit or debit card.

If you choose to deduct the TurboTax fees from your refund, there is a $34.99 Refund Processing Fee for that service, since an intermediary bank has to intercept your refund from the IRS, deduct the TurboTax fees, and then forward the balance to your bank. The bank charges for that service.

You can avoid the Refund Processing fee by paying your TurboTax fees with a credit or debit card instead.
