Question

When I send crypto I've purchased from an exchange to my own private wallet, a network fee is charged. Are these network fees taxable transactions that I need to report?

Sending crypto to your own private wallets is not a taxable event.  But what about the network fees I pay when I send the crypto from an exchange to my private wallet, or when I transfer crypto between my private wallets, or from my private wallet back to an exchange?  Network fees can be substantial.  Are these fees taxable events that I need to report as a gain or loss?

A fee or commission either increases your basis when you buy, or reduces your proceeds when you sell.

it is not reported separately.
