Question

When trying to file a Kansas state tax return, it says a form is unavailable. Schedule S form?? I have never needed this form before, any clue why I need now?

Yes.  The Kansas Schedule S is a supplemental schedule on which additions and/or subtractions to your Kansas income from your federal income are shown.  For example, social security or other retirement benefits exempt from KS tax,  Military pay for non-resident service members or state local income tax refunds that may have been taxable on your federal return.

The KS Schedule S is expected to be ready by 1/26/2023.  Click here to check forms availability.
