Question

when using the online calculator, it says I will be getting a tax return when I enter my taxes. It says I owe why is that?

1) The online calculators give you just a general idea of what your taxes/refund will be. Your tax return has ALL the details.....some of which the Calculators don't really cover. But I "suspect" the results should be about the same within +or- $1,000

....OR....

2) You made a mistake of some kind in your data entries. Print out a copy of your 1040, and look at the income lines that are posted to make sur those seem to be correct too. to make sure it makes sense...and also any of your tax withholding/prepayments credited
