I got to this page, and it says to continue while waiting for that to be available. So I did, and when I get to the end, it gives me the choice to file. But it skipped over that area!  And when will it be available??

Use this tool to look up when your individual tax forms will be available in TurboTax. You can search by TurboTax product and for IRS or state-specific forms.

So uhh... has 2/28/24 not come to pass somewhere in the world?  or 3/6?

March 6, 2024

Still says cannot submit until 3/6

I got the same message but mine states the form is expected to be ready on 02/16/2024. It is now 02/17/2024. I had a software update yesterday but it did not update that part of the software. It shows Form 3800 as available but I still get the same message. I'm done with the rest of my taxes so I don't know how long I should wait for the software to update the step-by-step section.

Also, make sure you have ran all updates.

@CatinaT1

Hi! I'm filing a 1065 Partnership and I'm stuck at Form 3800 as well. I went onto the form availability page (https://care-cdn.prodsupportsite.a.intuit.com/forms-availability/turbotaxbusiness_fed_windows_partne...) and it shows the form is available. On Turbo Tax desktop screen it says it will be ready 2/16/24, today is 2/17/24. When I went to update the software, it says I'm up to date. Nothing has changed. The same message appears. Please advise.

Got pushed back again, this is the 4th time anyone know if another tax service has the form 3800 ready to file. HR block, 1040.COM, anybody else, I've never had to wait to file taxes.

February 22, 2024

Deadline for K-1 distribution is March 15th. At this point the delay in form 3800 is unacceptable and unjustifiable. It does shows that supporting this product is not a priority for Intuit.

I will be asking for a refund and moving to something else.

I finished my tax return the first weekend of February and I have been waiting since then for forms to be updated. They've all been updated except the general business tax credit form, which, as others have pointed out, has been promised then delayed several times now. And now we are looking forward to getting it on March 6th, presuming that Turbo Tax doesn't delay again for no specified reason. This is indeed a giant hassle and completely unacceptable. TurboTax owes compensation to me and everyone else inconvenienced by this. How can I get a partial refund for all the miscellaneous services and products that I have paid for in order to file my taxes using TurboTax?

February 26, 2024

The real vexing and pathetic part of this is that I DO NOT take any general business credits.  The form has never been part of my 1120S filing,. BUT I am blocked from filing regardless.

Why can't it just ask and skip?

February 26, 2024

I've been in the same boat as all of you since January 28th.

The form keeps being pushed back.

We were told 2/16 then 2/28 and now its being stated 3/6 is the "new" deadline.

IRS says the forms are avialable. H&R block and other tax preparation software is having zero issues with this.

We don't even NEED this form yet we can't move past and e-file without it, per TurboTax live people.

February 26, 2024

I was tired of waiting for TT too, I finally re-did my whole tax return with 1040.com. I had no issues and my return was accepted within the hour.

February 28, 2024

I tried again today, 2/28, as it was the "new" deadline (before March 6th was brought up)

The form issue is no longer there, it lets me bypass the credit section entirely, BUT, I still cannot e-file

Your transmission didn't go through
We could not e-file your return for the following reason:

As you witnessed, there is some progress.  TurboTax is working to correct this issue as soon as possible.  Please come back to e-file after March 6, 2024

March 12, 2024

@brucevarker

You either need to update the desktop software with the online update function (available under the menus), or refresh your browser.

Form 3800 did become available last week.

Well I waited until from 3800 came out.  Completed and efiled then got a rejection from IRS.  TurboTax message says.

There is an issue related to Form 3800

This issue will be resolved in a product release scheduled for March 22, 2024.  On or after March 22, 2024 sign in to TurboTax and follow the steps below to review and resubmit your return.

No additional information on what is wrong and what will be corrected so I cannot make a judgement if I should move on to some other package or method.  Also, my State efile return was rejected at the same time but there is no details or explanation from TurboTax as to why.  I am guessing it is for the same reason.

Is there anyone at TurboTax that can provide specific answers on why my returns were rejected?
