You should be able to get the code in your email because you typically will get a receipt that includes the code when you buy it online.  HOWEvER, MY COMPUTER crashed last weekend and I had to load it on my new computer and it was a nightmare!  I spent 5 hours on the phone yesterday with turbo tax support because the program has major glitches with the newest version of WINDOWS 10.  If you have a MAC you might be ok but otherwise good luck.  If you want to know the fix that finally worked for me I will help you but it was a nightmare and I got lucky with a customer service agent who stayed on the phone with me for over 3 hours.  I already had been told  "too bad - so sad - start over" because it would not import my tax file onto the new computer.  I finished mine today but found a few other glitches in the program that I was able to work around.  GOOD LUCK
