I am not seeing anywhere on the tax return where I input the amount of interest I received from my personal bank savings account. I don't want to miss including this information and have to do an amendment.

Bank interest usually comes on a 1099-INT form but if you have the information from your statements, you can enter it in that section of the tax return.

  • Click on the Federal section, on the left menu
  • Click on Wages and Income, at the top
  • Click on See All Income and Check for More Income
  • Scroll down to Interest and Dividends, by the yellow bar graph icon
  • Click on Show More
  • Click Start for 1099INT
