Where do I enter payments on a medical bill from 2020?

We had a large medical bill we incurred in 2020. We paid it off in 2021. I'm in the section of the TurboTax interview where I've got to enter various medical expenses. So, I've got two questions.

First, I assume I can enter what we paid in 2021 for a medical expense incurred in 2020. Am I correct?

Second, for whatever reason the hospital lumped all things, like blood work, doctor's visits, etc., into one bill. (I don't know why - they just did.) So, if the answer to the first question is yes, then where do I enter paying this medical bill in the TurboTax interview?

Yes, deduct the expenses in the year you paid them. You can only deduct expenses not reimbursed. The IRS only sees the total medical expenses so it doesn’t matter how you categorize them.

You will have to  file an amended 2020 tax form to claim expenses incurred during that year. file under  Deductions and credits.
