Where do I enter the estimated State taxes I paid in 2017 for 2017?

Yes. You can deduct your 2017 estimated taxes paid on the federal tax return and it will be carried over to the state return. Please view the instructions below to do so.

  • Sign in to your account.
  • Click take me to my return.
  • Select top-tools and then tools in the drop-down menu.
  • Click topic search, type in estimated tax payments and click go.

You are now on the estimated tax input page.

To enter, edit or delete estimated taxes paid (Federal, State, Local) - 

  • Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
  • Click on Deductions and Credits
  • Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
  • Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
  • On Estimates, click on the start or update button

Or enter estimates paid in the Search/Find box located in the upper right of the online program screen.  Click on Jump to estimates paid
