Where do I enter the state taxes I have already paid?

Enter your state estimated tax payments made during 2019 on the federal return and the credit will be carried over to the state return. Please follow the directions below to enter your state taxes paid:

  1. Log in and open your return
  2. Click the Federal tab on the left side of the screen
  3. Click the Deductions & Credits tab at the top of the page
  4. On the next page, scroll down to see all tax breaks
  5. Click show more beside Estimates and other taxes paid
  6. Click start beside Estimated Tax Payments
  7. Click start beside State Estimated Taxes for 2019
