I entered both that I sold a property and that I bought a property but I'm not sure that it's being entered as a 1031 exchange.

For instructions on how to report a 1031 like kind exchange in TurboTax, see the following FAQ:

There are rules for a property transaction to meet 1031 which include needing an intermediary and you could never have received proceeds.  Many things do not qualify for like kind exchange rules.  be careful claiming it.
