Where do I find what state my exempt-interest dividends is from?

only the mutual fund or ETF can provide that.  some can't because of the variations in their holdings throughout the year and the fact holders buy and sell.   also, just because muni interest is from state X doesn't mean if you are a resident of state X it's not taxable.  Illinois is a prime example where only certain obligations are not taxable for residents.    also, some people move from state to state for which the fund has no info making allocations virtually impossible.
