Where do you enter college expenses for books and supplies?
It doesn't seem to be in the education section for DEDUCTIONS/CREDITS?

It is in the 1098-T section. You are given the option to enter books and supplies expenses when you enter your 1098-T. Even if you don't have a 1098-T, you will get the same screens and will be able to enter those expenses. Search for 1098-T and then use the Jump to 1098-T link to be taken to that section.
On the Education Expenses Summary page, click Edit next to the school you attended. This will take you to the Education Summary (different from Education Expenses Summary). You can enter books and supplies expenses in the Other Education Expenses area, see the image below.
