I received a 1099-G in the mail for unemployment. Where do I enter that info? Do I need to get any additional paperwork to file for that

Form 1099-G should be all you need to enter your unemployment:

  • Once in your return, click on Federal Taxes tab
  • Scroll down to Unemployment
  • Click Start next to Unemployment and paid family leave
  • Click radio button to left of Yes, I received unemployment or paid family leave on a 1099-G.
  • Enter Form 1099-G  and walk through all follow up screens.
