Your deductions are entered in the federal interview as if itemizing there.  Even if your deductions don't exceed the standard deduction on your federal return, they will flow to your state return automatically. 

 

If those deductions exceed the OR standard deduction for your filing status TurboTax will automatically select the itemized deductions for your OR state return.  

 

OR standard deduction amounts for 2023 are:

 

$2,605 for Single or married filing separately

  

$4,195 for head of household 

$5,210 for married filing jointly or qualifying surviving spouse.
