Where is the expense category for wages paid to an employee? All the wages paid were automatically categorized as contract labor.

I have a sole proprietorship LLC. I connected my business account and it categorized all of my payroll as contract labor rather than wages.

most likely you're using the link for contract labor rather than w-2/wages in the business app.

Employee pay goes on Schedule C line 26 Wages.

 

If Employee Expenses doesn't show up in the list of expenses you need to go back to the Business Profile section and click Edit by Has Employees and change it to yes.
