In TurboTax Deluxe the search button is called FIND and is located in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.

The word FIND is in a blue box.

Enter what you are searching for then click on FIND.

Due to COVID-19, the IRS is currently not able to process individual paper tax returns. Paper returns will be processed by the IRS once processing centers are able to reopen but you should e-file if possible.  If you’ve already filed via paper and it hasn’t been processed yet, don’t file a second tax return. For more info, visit the IRS.

The IRS issues most refunds in about 21 days, although some returns take more time to review.

To find out where your refund is, first check your e-file status. If it's been accepted, you can begin to track your refund at the IRS Where's My Refund? site.  You'll need your Social Security number or ITIN, filing status, and the exact amount of your refund to check your status.

There is no FIND button or blue box in TurboTax 2018. There is no search feature at all by any name in any menu I can find.

@paulhart - Are you using TurboTax Online or the CD/Download TurboTax software? In this thread we're talking about the CD/Download software. Find is not on a menu. Here's a screen shot showing the Find button in the CD/Download software.

If you still don't see it, see if the following FAQ helps.

Troubleshoot blank screens, missing buttons, or missing images

I don't have it either and I downloaded TurboTax Deluxe purchased at Amazon--Amazon's Choice. None of the troubleshooting steps resolving anything. BTW, those steps are badly out of date for Windows 10. I do have a SEARCH feature but no Find.

In the upper right hand corner there are 2 arrows pointing to the right on the gray bar....there you go.

Hi,

I see the Search box in the Step-by-step view, but when I go to forms, I don't see any way to search for a word or phrase.

How can I search within Forms? Surely this must be available...it's such an obvious feature.

For example, I want to see all the forms withe the string "rollover". The only option I see is to use the Search box on the Step-by-step view, and then try to sort through the answers to question...that's lame.

Thanks.

No you can't search the forms.  At least I don't think you can.  You can search for a form.  Use the search box at the top of the left column.  I'll double check my Windows Home & Business program.

You have to look through them. If you are looking for rollover info look for any 1099R forms you entered.  Look at your 1040 lines 4a-4d and drill down from there.
