I am filing the final return for my brother.  Not sure where to sign his tax return for California.  'Your signature' ? 'Paid preparer's signature '  and do they need my address somewhere ?

Sign the return where it says "Your Signature".  Print or type “Deceased” and the date of death next to the taxpayer's name at the top of the return.   If claiming a refund, Attach a a death certificate and a copy of IRS Form 1310.  Mail the return to the California Franchise Board.

Thanks,  IRS indicates putting my address in instead of the deceased.  Is this true of California return as well?

Yes, you should use your address, if that is where you would want any correspondence (including a check) mailed.
