There is a section of the TurboTax program with a specific interview to see if you will need to prepare 2018 estimated taxes.  Follow the steps below to access this portion of the program -
  • Log into your account (if you are using desktop, just open the program)
  • Hit Take Me to My Return
  • Click Federal Taxes
  • Click Other Tax Situations
  • Scroll down to Other Tax Forms
  • Select Form W4 and Estimated Taxes
After you select estimated taxes, the program will first ask about Form W4, then you will get a screen asking if you want to prepare estimated taxes.  Hit Yes and the program will show a review based on this year's taxes.  You can click yes to adjust your income and deductions and follow the prompts from there.

The instruction for changing estimate tax do not seem to apply to my Desktop applications. There is no "Take me to my return" to hit. When I do open my return, there is not "Federal Taxes" to hit. Might this not apply to Home and Business 2017?
