You can buy any version.  All the Desktop programs have the same forms. You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions.

To do a prior year return you have to buy the Desktop program here,

You will need a full Windows or Mac to install it on.

In addition, desktop Basic Edition does not include a state program and cannot import from ItsDeductible.

Be aware that desktop Deluxe comes in 2 versions--one that is a combo Federal and State version, and one that is Federal-only.  If purchased directly from TurboTax, Deluxe is the combo Fed and State version.  If purchased from some other reputable authorized seller like Amazon, you have to be careful as to which version of Deluxe you are buying if you need a state program.

Steer clear of any "too-good-to-be-true" websites offering cheap products.  Those are likely unauthorized sellers who could have pirated software and/or malware, fraud, credit card theft, etc.   Only a handful of retailers are authorized to sell TurboTax downloads, and they are big well-known ones.

You mentioned "self-employed" and "K-1".   While all desktop editions have the basic capability to handle that, Premier and Home and Business would have the most help and guidance.
