While filing my return I was asked to enter bank info for elect. pmt and e-file my returns. It turned out that I need to file the state on paper. Send a Check instead?

If your return was already submitted, you can cancel the transaction up to 48 hours with the IRS before the date you designated the funds to be debited. To contact the IRS call - 1(888) 353-4537.

You can visit www.irs.gov/Payments website to make your payment. You will also find the information to mail in a check here.

If this is also for a State payment, click on your state below for contact information and to make other payment arrangements with them.
