Question

While filing my taxes I was asked if I lived here on December 31. Was it 2022 or 2023 it was asking for? I assume it was 2022 asking to see why I did not file last year?

or was it asking on Dec 31 2023? If it was 2023 it would make no sense to ask because if Im filing for here obviously I lived here.

It depends on where you see the question, but usually, it'd be December 31, 2023. 

 

I assume this is coming up for you in your state. To answer more completely, let us know which state you are filing in and what section you are in when the question is asked.
