Who enters the 1099 - DIV if two names are listed but they are not married?

My adult son and I are listed as joint owner on a 1099 - DIV. Who reports on their taxes? We don't want to split it. I'm fine with him having it so does that mean he reports it, or am I required to also?

There should be only 1 ssn social security number on the 1099 Div.  Use that person.
