Perhaps there are shared dependents that need to be addressed in your return. There would be questions about custody and divorce agreements concerning the dependents.

He and I had no dependents . The divorce was clean and easy.... he took his and I took mine. I'm filing as divorced. He should have no part in my business

You need a new account with a different user ID so that you are not using the same account you used for a joint return when you were married. It is too hard to remove the "spouse stuff" from an account.
