Depending on what your tax situation was last year, you might need to use new tax forms to claim the same deductions, credits, or forms of income. Some of the situations that are now in TurboTax Deluxe and TurboTax Live Deluxe, instead of in Free Edition, include:

  • Student loan interest deduction
  • Retirement savings contribution credit
  • Education credits
  • Child & dependent care credit

If none of this applies to you, you can use the clear and start over feature.

Note: In TurboTax Online, you can erase your return and start from scratch as long as you haven't submitted payment, deducted the TurboTax fee from your refund, or registered.

Please see the two TurboTax FAQs below for more information.

I never wanted the turbo tax live deluxe, i thought i was only being charged the one charge for 60$. Actually i originally thought it was 40$....but im not to worried about that. Why am I being charged an additional 80$ and is there anything that can be done about it. Ive been a customer for a long time and have never had a problem like this.

What are your actual charges by product?  The TurboTax Live Deluxe is $120 so what are the other charges?

You could have downgraded your online edition before paying the account fees or requesting the fees deducted from the federal tax refund.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for checking your fees - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/charges-and-fees/help/how-do-i-review-my-fees-in-turbotax-online/0...
