Why am i not able to file for free like i have been able to the past several years?

TurboTax Free Edition is an online-only product that supports simple tax returns that can be filed on Form 1040 without any attached schedules.  Please see the TurboTax FAQ below for more information: https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3334660

If you are trying to use the Free Edition and it is trying to upgrade or adding extra charges the TurboTax FAQ below will explain what those add-on charges are as well as help with taking them off if you decide you do not want to pay for those upgrades.
