No one can see your screen or your tax return so we cannot tell you if you are paying too much state tax.  What state?   What is in boxes 16 and 17 of your W-2?  What is your filing status?   Do you have dependents?

don't know what you mean by "so much"  $10, or $100, or  $100,000 ?

If it's WAAAAY off base, that can indicate an error in your income entries in the state section of various W-2, or 1099-??? forms.

Only if it's really huge....

Go back to the income area, and edit each of the tax forms you entered as income, to make sure you didn't double-key some state income entry...or otherwise mis-enter the state $$ amount.
