I'm a government employee. I file my taxes with a government tax rep. Is this form bad?

A W-2c form is used by the United States Internal Revenue Service for tax filing and reporting services. This form is known as a Corrected Wage and Tax Statement form.

It will show all of the information on the original W-2, and the corresponding correction next to it.

If you haven't filed yet, you can post the corrected W-2c and replace the original W-2.

If you have filed you will have to prepare an amended tax return.

Probably it's OK.

The thing is...if some of your SS payments were deferred (as forced on Military and many GOvt Employees), then the Govt is going to  take back those payments during 2021 paychecks....and at the end of 2021, will issue a W-2C.

When that happens,

1)   as long as the SS repayment was the only thing being corrected in box 4

and

2)  you didn't have more than 8537.40 total in box 4 of ALL your own W-2 forms for 2020

Then you won't have to amend your 2020 taxes for that W-2C.

SO there is nothing you can do now about it....and just file as you normally do.

That warning by TTX perhaps, needs some work

The desktop warning looks like it was explained pretty well:
