What kind of income for New York? Is it from state and local governments?

Income is from Soc. Sec. Pension. IRA & annuities.  No Govt. income

After you enter each 1099-R, there is a screen that asks what the source of the 1099-R distribution is, like the following screen that appears in the Online product for retirement distributions:

Retirement distributions from:

  • US Government (including military)
  • New York State and City Education
  • Certain public authorities
  • NYC Variable Supplemental Funds (VSF)
  • Certain annuity funds
  • Other Pensions of New York State and Local Governments

Retirement distributions from:

  • New York State and City Education (optional retirement program)
  • IRA rolled over from a former government pension

What did you check off for each of your distributions?
