During the early weeks of the tax season some forms have not been loaded into the software and tested. Once IRS releases a form our programmers then have to enter the form in our software and test the calculations. The Consolidation Appropriations Act of 2020 was signed into law until December 20, 2019. Many forms were changed or added for the 2019 Tax year.

The delay in electronically filing of your return could be due to some of the forms you used will not be ready to e-file until that date. The form might have been loaded for you input the information but it is not ready to be electronically file.
