Why can't I file electronically and enter in a payment date after April 15, 2020? Payments are not due until July 15, 2020.

As we are still in the filing season and as the due date is now July 15th, updates are being made to ensure you can file your return when you are ready.

I recommend checking back with TurboTax using the following link to determine when the new dates have been reflected in the program.

Wisconsin state return due date for payment is still fixed at no later than 4/15/20 and should be 7/15/2020

While I know the Federal payment date has been updated, I will report the issue on the Wisconsin date, as they are one of the states that extended as well.

We received notice that the TurboTax software is scheduled to be updated on Friday, March 27, to include dates after April 15 up through July 15, 2020 for a federal tax payment.
