Why can't I finish and file my taxes is it to early?

For 2021?   Yes it's way too early.   The year isn't even over yet.  The forms aren't final yet.  The IRS hasn't released all the forms yet.   They won't open Efiling until late January or February.  There will be many program updates to come.   And you haven't got all your tax forms like W2 and 1099 yet.   

way too early. many forms in 2021 TurboTax and many computations are based on 2020. at best TT won't be ready to go until sometime late in January 2022. maybe even much later, if new tax laws are passed. many taxpayers that rushed to file in 2021 had substantial delays in their refunds because tax law changes were passed after they filed that were retroactive to the beginning of the year.  many waited 6 months or more. some are still waiting.
