Are you in California? If you want to have the state efile fee deducted from your federal refund you have to get Premium services. There is an extra $40 (45 in California) Refund Processing Service charge for that which you can avoid by paying upfront with a credit card.
Yes I explained that. It is $25 to efile state. Then to have the fee deducted from your federal refund is another $45 Refund Processing Service charge which you could have avoided by paying the $25 with a credit card.

Oh and.....In the Desktop program you get one free state PROGRAM download to prepare unlimited state returns. Then each state return (including the first one) is $20 to efile, usually goes up to $25 March 1. Or you can print and mail state for free.
If you e-file you get charged the $45. I called in and she helped me remove it by going back to the filing section. I will print my state taxes and mail them in at no charge.
