Why did my Federal & PA due amounts at the top of the screen increase after I completed my Federal taxes and clicked continue to start my state taxes?

The state taxes imports the information entered in the federal return.  When you start the state return it will pull the information over from the federal return.  You can preview your return to see how the tax is calculated by following these steps.  In TurboTax Desktop click the forms button in the top right corner.  For TurboTax Online from the left rail menu in TurboTax Online, select Tax Tools (You may have to scroll down on the left rail menu.)

1. Select Tax Tools 
   
2. On the drop-down select Tools 
3. On the pop-up menu titled “Tools Center”, select View Tax Summary 
4. On the left sidebar, select Preview my 1040
