Why do I keep getting this error even though the number is 0? “Deductions Statement: Educator Smart Wks Ln B-SP should not have a value based on your filing status..“

I’ve gone back and edited tax forms to no avail. It will not accept 0 as an answer. I am not an educator. I don’t know why it is flagging this entry, but I cannot move further because of it

Yes, you can resolve that error, by deleting the Educator Expenses Worksheet. This is probably a form that carried forward from a prior year.

If you are using TurboTax Online:

From inside the return, scroll down to Tax Tools on the bottom of the left side menu.
Select Tools.
Click on Delete a form (third on the list at the bottom of the screen).
Find Educator Expenses Worksheet on the list of forms.
Click Delete to the right.
Confirm your Delete.
Click Federal Review to confirm that this solved the problem.
