It allows me to enter the proper coverage for my husband, but I cannot enter the correct coverage for myself. It keeps showing that I have a break in coverage

I assume that it is saying that you have a "lapse" in your coverage.

Why does TurboTax think that my spouse’s HDHP coverage has lapsed?

  • If your spouse did not have an HSA in 2022, then answer NONE.
  • If your spouse had an HSA but did not contribute to HER HSA in 2022, then answer NONE. (Remember that each of you can have an HSA).
  • If your spouse was covered by an HDHP policy for each month of 2022, then answer NONE.

In all likelihood, your spouse does not have an HSA, so she never went through the HSA interview to tell TurboTax that she had HDHP coverage, so TurboTax got confused and thought that maybe her coverage "lapsed". Sound familiar? If so, see the bulleted list.
