Why does the screen say "Form not reported (this income is not reported on another form or schedule)" and when I click continue it takes me back to the previous page?

We need some clarification regarding how you have entered this 1099-Misc.  Did you enter it as Miscellaneous Income in the Wages & Income section TurboTax?  If so, that would appear to be correct given what you have stated thus far does not seem to indicate the 1099-Misc represents incomes received in connection with self-employment (such as if you were an independent contractor).  However, if the grant money is in fact income received in connection with some type of employment, then you would need to enter the 1099-Misc as self-employment income, in which case you will be completed a Schedule C.  Income from self-employment is entered using TurboTax Self Employed.
