Why does TT ask the user question on State and Local Tax refunds when it was used for filing the previous year...shouldn't it have

Why does TT ask the user question on State and Local Tax refunds when it was used for filing the previous year...shouldn't it have that information already as it has access to the previous year's taxes as it was used to fill the base profile for the current tax year filing? It seems like it should have all that info already.

It is possible that you received a refund that was not reported on your filing last year because the state adjusted your return. It is also possible for you to have filed a state tax return not using TurboTax. The system has to ask the question.
