Why does turbo tax tell me a w2 is ready from a company I don't work at nor did in 2024

He worked there in 2023 for 1 month

I suggest you retrieve the W-2, and evaluate the circumstance.

Did he work in December. The accounting period may have carried over to 2024.
If the W-2 is incorrect you will need it to contact the employer and make the correction.
You will have to get it corrected, or include it in his tax return.
