I use desktop version. I've used override before. This year, it wouldn't let me efile unless I removed override. I had to file on paper.

No, you  shouldn't need to override anything in Forms mode.

If you think there's something wrong with the way TurboTax completes the tax forms, you should ask for help in Community, or contact Desktop Support to get help from a tax expert.

I'm surprised that you were ever able to e-file a return with an override. Using the override feature voids the accuracy guarantee.

What's the point of having an override if it doesn't let me file??????

By design overrides on forms prevents e-filing. if mailed the accuracy guarantee is void.
