Why don't you open up e-filing in 2022 for 2020 tax returns like other software?

TurboTax has nothing to do with it.

There is no self-prepared software that can e-file 2020 since the IRS shut down that e-file server on Oct 15 2021.    Professional software that uses a different server can still e-file 2020.
