Question

Why has the state of Massachusetts not withdrawn their payment from my bank account? Both my Federal and State tax returns have been accepted. Feds have taken payment.

Why has the Federal government taken their payment and the state has not.

There is no way to tell why MA hasn't taken your tax payment yet. Each state has its own procedures and schedule for withdrawing payments from taxpayer's bank accounts.

 

While you may have authorized payment on a specific date (or ASAP), the state can withdraw the money any time after that date.
