Why hasn’t the IRS finalized my documents?

Are you referring to why the IRS has not approved your 2019 tax return and send you a refund yet?

Here are the updates from the IRS:

The Internal Revenue Service announces it will accept and process federal tax returns starting Monday, Jan. 27 2020.  Generally, the IRS issues most refunds in less than 21 days, although some require additional time. Although your return has been accepted by TurboTax, nothing can be done until the day IRS's floodgate opens. 

You should only call if it has been:

• 21 days or more since you e-filed
• 6 weeks or more since you mailed your return, or when
• "Where is my refund" tells you to contact the IRS
