Why have I been automatically selected for the premier TurboTax plan and cannot change to the regular one?

TurboTax Premier is required for tax returns that contain a 1099-B form or a Schedule K-1. In addition if you need Schedule E to report rentals and royalties, you need Premier.

If you think you don't need to use Premier, you can return to the Free Edition, but you will need to review all of your information again. 

If you want to return to free, follow these directions:

1. Click on Tax Tools near the bottom of the left side menu.
2. All the way at the bottom, select Return to Free.
3. The next screen explains that the program will keep most of your information, but you may need to re-enter some of it. 
4. Once you confirm that is what you want to do, you will be taken back to the beginning of the return and you will need to review and possibly re-enter some of your information.
